4 P's of Personal Safety

"Knowledge is NOT Wisdom"

The Art of Personal Safety is all about application. Knowledge (knowing) without wisdom (doing) are like birds with broken wings,…intentions without action. Knowledge is wonderful “information,” but knowledge without application is useless knowledge.

The 4P’s of personal safety puts us in the mindset of knowing and applying the Art of Personal Safety. Besides developing our mental and emotional areas, we also have to train our physical bodies. This is where we train the body by practicing physical personal safety techniques. We will develop the body to be in a state of readiness at times of need. We must not neglect it. When the mind commands, the body must deliver.

“There’s only one basic principle of self-defense. You must apply the most effective weapon, as soon as possible, to the most vulnerable target.”

– Bruce Lee

When our life is in a dangerous situation we do not want our body to fail us. We need the body and the mind to be united together as a whole. The 4P’s of personal safety will help us build a body that is capable of carrying out the mind’s requests. We can “acquire” all the knowledge in the world, but if the body is not able then it becomes useless knowledge.
